One year ago Charleston received worldwide media attention. Not because of beauty, architecture or history, but because of her strength. Nine people were gunned down at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church during their prayer meeting. This heinous act left us all speechless and overwhelmed with grief. In the face of terrorism and hate we became Charleston Strong. Thousands joined hands across the Cooper River Bridge to form a unity chain and to demonstrate solidarity.
Please join us today as we remember the nine people who lost their lives on June 17, 2015.
