Charlie’s areas of focus include serious personal injury claims and criminal defense.  Charlie handles personal injury cases, including but not limited to Automobile Accidents, Trucking Accidents, Premises Liability, Wrongful Death and Slip and Fall Accidents.  He also represents clients charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI), Drug Crimes, Murder, and various other criminal offenses.  Charlie is skilled trial attorney, having tried a significant number of cases to verdict.  He has represented hundreds of DUI, Criminal and Personal Injury clients.

Charlie was born and raised in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Charlie graduated cum laude from Wofford College, acquiring a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics. While at Wofford College, Charlie was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order, and he studied abroad at the University of Vienna, Thailand, New Zealand, and China. Charlie received his Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law. While attending law school, Charlie was a member of the Student Bar Association, Phi Delta Phi, and the John Belton O’Neall Inn of Court.

Charlie remains active in his community, having served as the Chairman of the Board for the Alzheimer’s Association, South Carolina Chapter and serving as a board member for the Regional Medical Center Foundation, the Methodist Oaks, the Rotary Club of Orangeburg, and the Orangeburg Chamber of Commerce.  In the past he served as the First Circuit representative of the Young Lawyers Division (Orangeburg, Calhoun and Dorchester Counties) and the South Carolina Bar House of Delegates.  In his free time, Charlie coaches little league baseball, football and basketball for his sons.  He enjoys hunting, fishing, playing golf and spending time with his family.  Charlie also serves as a Deacon for First Baptist Church of Orangeburg, where he and his family are active members of the church.
